When you arrive at the Eagle , the dive boats tie off at one of the three moring lines attached to the bow, midship and stern of the Eagle. Divers descend down the rope to the ship. This allows access to the ship in strong currents and keeps the divers from getting lost on the way up! Descending on a line is a much different approach then free or drift diving. On the way up, it is not unusual to find many divers hanging on at the 15 foot level for there 3 minute decompression stop! At times it gets very crowded at this location on the line!
