Interesting dive. This dive was organized to get the Junior Open Water divers
and their parents in the water. Several had sinus problems and it did take a
while to get to the bottom. The dive was co-oridinated with Capt Bob and we
had a Dive Master assigend just to our team. The game plan was we would all
stick together, we would go down with the slowest person. If that person was
real slow, they would follow the yellow rope and we would try to keep them in
sight. Well it did work, we all did get to do two dives to the bottom! It was
cold! We didn't see any turtles (last week we saw 5-10 per dive), but did see
fish and bugs.
For further data on comparison of depth gauges: 51' Analog, 47' Cochran, 50'
Genesis Resource Nitrox - made during the dive.

C. Dive Information:
56' for 18 min Cochran, 58' for 18 min Genesis Resource Nitrox. This was a
short dive for me. My pressure gauge swivel sprung a leak, I went back to the
surface at 1500 lbs. Again, there was some slight difficulty getting everybody
to the bottom and keeping them together. The dive was successful! All that
went out on the boat returned. We did see a small turtle on this dive and
several bugs, lots of colored fish.
This dive was discussed in detail at the dock before boarding the boat and in
detail on the boat several times. With young divers, divers that have not been
in the water in a year and divers with sinus problems - you really must discuss
the dive and all aspects of potential problems. Then, if everyone follows the
rules and discussions, you will have a successful save dive.
