Description:
This was our first dive with Conch
Republic. The boat had only a few divers - lot's of room to spare. There
was a lot to see - a 5' nurse shark under a ledge - got some pictures. There
was some talk about a buda statue - we looked for it and couldn't find it til
we were swiming back to the boat. The buda is a small cement statue on top
of a cinder block - easy to miss! We saw some small bugs, a stingray, one
medium size (8' dia) brain coral, a green octapus and some wierd type of
big crab. It was a fun dive, lot's to see, and colorful coral.
After a long drive, a previous wreck dive, more driving and a night dive the Key's Motel across the street was a welcome site for a good nights sleep!
